01

Provider and these terms

This free member question-and-answer service is provided by Dingbian County Wangshi Boxin Trading Technology Co., Ltd., using the operating brand Chyson Media, China. Contact address: Xizheng Street, Dingbian County, Yulin, Shaanxi, China; support: support@ctcsol.org. CTCSOL.org is an independent Chinese-language education resource platform. It is not the organiser of the Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages examination and does not award qualifications on behalf of an examination body.

02

Registration and accounts

This phase of free membership is for individual learners aged 18 or over. Registration and member functions are temporarily unavailable to people located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom when registering or using the service. The EEA comprises the EU member countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. Eligibility is based on your location when registering and using member services, not nationality, passport or interface language. Public resources in Chinese, English and French remain readable worldwide and are unaffected by this membership restriction.

Confirm your location eligibility truthfully when registering. If you enter a region not served during this phase, pause your use of member functions. We use country or region information associated with network requests to assist these checks. Such estimates may be wrong; an IP address alone cannot be guaranteed to establish your actual location accurately. Registration and member functions remain unavailable when the region cannot be confirmed. Contact support@ctcsol.org if you believe a result is wrong. A review does not grant an exemption from the current service scope.

Use an email address you can access, complete the verification required for your account and protect your sign-in credentials. Create and use an account for yourself only. Do not share accounts, impersonate others or use multiple accounts to bypass the daily limit. Before registration or sign-in, read the declarations and international-processing notice shown on the page. Clicking a sign-in, registration or confirmation-saving button explicitly labelled “Agree to international processing and…” confirms that you are at least 18, accept the terms, have read the privacy notice, meet the location requirement and consent to the described international processing. No additional checkbox is required; viewing the page does not record consent. These confirmations do not authorise marketing or publication of questions.

03

Up to two questions a day

Each registered member may successfully submit no more than 2 Chinese-learning questions per day. A day follows Beijing time (Asia/Shanghai, UTC+08:00), restarting at 00:00; unused questions do not carry over. Each successfully created question record counts once. An unsuccessful submission or a request the system refuses to create does not count. Retries identified by the system as the same submission are not counted twice. If the outcome is unclear, check your question records before submitting again. Necessary clarification of the original question does not count as another question; a new, independent question should be submitted separately and counts towards the daily limit. Once accepted, a question still counts even if a teacher later declines it as outside the service scope. Changing language, device or sign-in method does not increase the limit. Contact support if you believe the count is incorrect.

04

Scope and how answers are delivered

Questions should concern learning Chinese, such as vocabulary, grammar, expression, learning methods or language use in Chinese culture. During the first phase, the operator personally provides the teaching answers through the platform or a task email. The system links each answer to your question and delivers it to your member dashboard, with a notification or answer sent to your registered email address. The student-facing responder label is “Chinese Teacher”; necessary accountability records remain internal.

Teaching answers are written in Chinese. Any bilingual content added to correct or explain a learning point is only a learning aid. The interface and system notices use your selected Chinese, English or French language; this does not change the language rule for teaching answers. This is not live chat, and no fixed response time, examination pass or particular learning outcome is promised.

05

Appropriate use and declined questions

Ask one clear question at a time. Avoid pasting lengthy copyrighted works, confidential examination material, another person’s private information, passwords, identity documents or payment information. Do not send harassment, unlawful or fraudulent content, malicious code or abusive requests. Teachers may decline questions outside Chinese learning, questions that infringe others’ rights, requests to cheat in an examination, or questions that cannot be handled safely. Where appropriate, we explain the reason. You may request a human review of a declined question or account restriction at support@ctcsol.org.

06

Free at this stage, with no automatic charge

These terms cover free member Q&A only. No extra questions, monthly subscriptions or annual subscriptions are sold in this phase. Payments are not open, and registration, asking a question or continued use will not trigger a charge or renewal. Existing technical preparations are not an offer of a paid service. If a paid service is introduced later, its prices and terms will be explained separately and the required explicit choice obtained. A free account will not automatically become a paid account.

07

Content rights and confidentiality

You retain the rights you lawfully hold in your submitted content and allow us to process it to provide Q&A, necessary teacher handling, security and review of complaints. Registration does not authorise publication of your questions, answers or identity for advertising, case studies, partner recruitment or other marketing. Any public use requires a separate applicable authorisation. You may keep and use answers provided to you for personal learning; third-party material remains subject to its original permissions. Contact support about inaccurate content or a suspected disclosure.

08

Changes, account restrictions and leaving

Maintenance, outages, reasonable allocation of teaching capacity or security incidents may affect service. We will use measures proportionate to the actual issue and, where practicable, give advance notice of material service changes. Suspected abuse may lead to a restriction of relevant functions. Urgent security action may come first, followed by an explanation and review route where this does not undermine security or legal duties. You may stop using the service at any time and ask support to close your account or handle your data; retention and deletion are described in the privacy notice. Providing a free service does not exclude liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.

09

Versions, contact and statutory rights

The policy version and effective date are shown in the effective text. Material changes affecting core rights or data processing will be appropriately notified, with renewed consent where the law requires it. The three language versions are intended to have the same meaning. Please contact us about inconsistencies; a translation difference will not reduce your statutory rights. You may first raise a dispute at support@ctcsol.org. This does not limit recourse to a competent regulator, court or legally available dispute-resolution route.
